Green Goodness

Just picked up my 'Green Goodness' for the day. I've been drinking these green smoothies every weekday for just over a month now. It makes me feel good to know I'm getting some form of vegetable and fruit each day for very little effort. I love these smoothies, they are very pulpy and not at all like wheatgrass - blech! I am also happy to be supporting a local Mom by purchasing them from her directly. She gets up at 5am, heads to her industrial kitchen and juices for a few hours. Some of the smoothies go to local stores and the rest are set up in 'coolers' for customers to pick up on her front porch. I love that. Her little boy often pokes a face at me through the window when I get my smoothie.
My inbox receives a daily email detailing the flavour of the day as follows:

"Good Morning!
Today's Trifecta of Green: Organic Spinach, Organic Collard Greens, Organic Sunflower Sprouts, Organic Pears, Market Apples, Ginger Root and Filtered Water.
Shake Well and Enjoy!
xxo"
I'm also off to the bank today to set up my own bank account. The business has been running via paypal for some time now, which is fine and very convenient, but not much good if I want to make a purchase offline. And I might even attempt to pay myself a small 'wage' each week if I can keep up the momentum.
Fingers crossed. Time for some stitching.

Oh, and if you live in Toronto and are interested in trying the Green Goodness, head over to the Owl and Goose Facebook page...

  2. Ohh, that sounds just yum Jen. I really must drag my juicer out from the deep recesses of the cupboard. I had a great pick-me-up at the Coode St. Cafe last week - beetroot, ginger & apple. Yum.
