Since I was a teen I have experimented with quilting and bear making,
cross stitch and doll making, finally bringing it all together here at
Pikelet Workshop.
Raised in Australia, I have recently made
Canada my home and design and work in my studio in Toronto. I also teach
kids to craft and sew throughout the summer and am very passionate
about empowering them with so many new skills.
I'm a
self-taught toy and soft-furnishing designer and spend a lot of time
developing new patterns and designs. Each piece is one of a kind and
heavily scrutinized by my eleven year old daughter. If they pass her
very high standards I know I am on to something.
Pikelet is pronounced "pie-klet" and is named after a delicious
and dainty pancake eaten for afternoon tea in Australia, NZ and the UK.
I am thrilled to be sharing my unique Australian designer's aesthetic to Canada and beyond.
